CENTAUR Project Deliverable Update #6: Advancements in Service Pipelines, Platform Design, and Testing

Last month, our team successfully submitted four new deliverables:

  1. Urban Flood and Water & Food Insecurity Service Pipelines v2 (Tuning and Adaptation)
  1. Platform Design Document – v2
  1. CENTAUR Integrated Platform Including Urban Flood and Water & Food Indexes v1 (Baseline)
  1. CENTAUR Integrated Platform Test Document – v1

Urban Flood and Water & Food Insecurity Service Pipelines v2 (Tuning and Adaptation)

This deliverable, developed within the activities of Work Package 2 (Thematic Product Engineering), represents an advanced version of the previous deliverable, Urban Flood and Water & Food Insecurity Service Pipelines v1 (Baseline Setup)

It demonstrates the fine-tuning and adaptation of the service pipelines by combining and integrating datasets from different sources. It provides updates on specific indicators, visual representations of processing chains, and outlines the design and integrated pipelines in the CENTAUR platform.

Overall, the document shows the progress made in the development of complex indicators, highlighting advances and improvements of the baseline version.

The following three deliverables have been submitted as part of Work Package 3 (Service Deployment).

Platform Design Document v2

This deliverable provides the theoretical basis for the service design, covering architecture, platform interfaces, components, and a high-level concept of the CENTAUR platform, with the aim of describing how a user can interact with the system.

The design is based on the user requirements defined in the Report on Urban Flooding and Water and Food Security Indicators.

This document sets the stage for subsequent deliverables within Work Package 3, aiming to consolidate the design and deliver the prototype version of the platform for the integration of Work Package 2 services.

CENTAUR integrated platform including Urban Flood and Water & Food Indexes v1 (baseline)

This document provides an overview of the platform’s user interface, highlighting its features and functionalities.

This information will serve as a basis for the subsequent deliverables such as “CENTAUR integrated platform including Urban Flood and Water & Food Indexes v2 (final setting)”.

CENTAUR Integrated Platform Test Document v1

This deliverable outlines the provision of deployment resources, the organisation of platform service testing, and the automation of test pipelines for two releases: one in M15, covering the prototype, and the other in M32, detailing the final platform release.

The iterative development process involves dedicated validation teams after each iteration to ensure efficient assessment of new user-facing features.

Assessments will be reported in subsequent deliverables, contributing to the ongoing refinement and improvement of the platform.
